*Weekend Crash Course Workshops- These fast-paced, comprehensive sessions are held one Saturday per month from 9am-5pm. This one-day workshop is designed for complete beginners, but is also perfect for those who need a quick refresher course or want to gain more experience. All of the basics of the copper foil method will be covered, including: glass cutting, grinding, foiling & soldering. Students will be allowed to choose from several patterns and glass combinations. Each student will complete a small panel, ornament or suncatcher and will leave with suggested reading, resource information and a wealth of knowledge and experience that prepares the student for the intermediate copper foil level.
*Glass on Glass Mosaics- Classes run 7 weeks in both Fall & Spring- typically with a weekday morning or evening option. A refreshing departure from the sometimes tedious nature of stained glass crafting, this contemporary spin on mosaics pairs the allure of illuminated colored glass with the ancient art of picture building with tesserae (small tiles). Tesserae will be created from stained glass in varying shapes and sizes and mounted with clear adhesive onto a substrate of clear glass and then framed for hanging. A darkened grout sets off the design much like lead lines in a traditional stained glass window. Students will complete a window hanging featuring designs of their own choosing based on photographs, patterns or their own personal designs. Students may bring reference material sized to fit the finished project dimensions (approximately 8” x 8”), or may choose from designs available.
*Tiffany Style Flat Panel Lamps- Classes run 7 weeks in both Fall & Spring- typically with a weekday morning or evening option. Illuminate your favorite space with your own handcrafted Tiffany style flat panel lamp. From soft, light-diffusing opalescent glass to sparkling jewel-tone cathedrals, students will be allowed to choose their own color and texture combinations. Open to students of all skill levels, this class covers the basics of the copper foil method, including: glass cutting, grinding, foiling & soldering in addition to lamp shade assembly. Beginners will complete a four panel lamp while those with previous experience may choose a six paneled project. Materials fee includes a Tiffany style lamp base.

Other Classes Available:
+Beginning/Intermediate Stained Glass- Classes run 8 weeks in both Fall & Spring- typically with a weekday morning or evening option. Beginning students will learn glass cutting basics and the terms and techniques of stained glass using the copper foil method. Students will be allowed to choose a medium sized (roughly 17” x 22”) pattern from several styles and glass combinations (prices vary on glass types). The instructor will assist and supervise students with previous experience who have ideas, personal projects or 'works in progress’. Students will not be required to purchase expensive equipment- only materials that are used in the creation of the project. Beginners will gain experience that prepares them for the intermediate copper foil level and Intermediates will leave ready for the Design & Leading Class.
+Design & Leading- Classes usually run 8-10 weeks in both Fall & Spring- typically with a weekday morning or evening (7-9pm) option. These classes are open to students who are proficient in the copper foil method and have progressed past the intermediate level. Designs may be selected from existing patterns or the student may choose to create a custom design. First leaded projects should remain relatively small, roughly within 17”x22”, and should be free of tiny pieces. Students may bring pattern ideas for planning purposes to the first class, but patterns will be available for the student to browse through. Students will not be required to purchase expensive equipment–only materials that are used in the creation of the project.
+Private Instruction- Students may book private instruction on a schedule mutually convenient for both student and instructor.
+Studio Time- There are no registration procedures, contracts or obligations to continue or complete a set number of courses. Bench time, tool usage and equipment are included in the hourly studio fee. The student is expected to work independently on projects within his/her scope of experience, but the instructor will still be available to provide guidance.
